About this course
Chemistry has a unique history, evolving from early mystical concepts into a precise modern science. This introductory text course guides you through the foundational principles that govern matter, elements, and chemical transformations. You will build solid scientific literacy by exploring basic atomic theory, molecular interactions, and practical chemical logic through clear reading modules. What you'll learn: Learn core chemical terminology, key definitions, and foundational principles; Trace the historical evolution of chemistry into an empirical natural science; Analyze atomic structure, subatomic particles, and periodic table organization; Understand chemical bonding, molecular properties, and states of matter; Practice balancing chemical equations and calculating basic stoichiometry; Discover modern chemical concepts, including green chemistry fundamentals. The course begins with clear explanations of basic terms and scientific history before progressing into modern atomic models and reaction mechanics. Designed specifically for absolute beginners, this text-based guide requires no prior background in science or mathematics. Start reading today to build a lasting foundation in chemical literacy.
