Algebra Fundamentals: Functions and Graphs

Struggling to make sense of introductory algebra? Functions and their graphs are the absolute foundation of mathematical literacy, yet they often feel abstract and confusing when first introduced. This text-based course demystifies algebraic functions, transforming equations into clear, understandable concepts. You will transition from memorizing formulas to confidently plotting, reading, and analyzing various types of graphs. What you'll learn: Understand the core terminology of functions, including domain, range, independent, and dependent variables; Plot linear and basic non-linear functions step-by-step using coordinate systems; Analyze graphs to identify key features such as intercepts, slopes, and behavioral trends; Apply function concepts to solve real-world modeling problems and practical scenarios; Identify and correct common graphing mistakes and algebraic misconceptions. The course begins with foundational definitions and basic coordinate geometry before moving progressively into linear functions, plotting techniques, and practical graph interpretation. This course is designed for absolute beginners, school students starting algebra, or anyone looking to refresh their foundational math skills with no prior advanced knowledge required. Start reading today to build a confident foundation in algebraic functions and graphs.
