Applied Neuro-Ophthalmology: Complex Cases, Time-Critical Presentations, and Multidisciplinary Coordination

Complex neuro-ophthalmic cases require integrated reasoning across vision, neurology, and time-critical decision making. This applied course teaches that integration through case-based modules. By the end of this course you will be able to reason through complex neuro-ophthalmic cases, recognize time-critical presentations, coordinate with neurology and emergency services, and support patients with chronic neuro-ophthalmic conditions over time. Each module presents a complex scenario, walks through structured reasoning, and produces a written approach you compare against the worked-through example. This course is written for optometrists, ophthalmologists, and neurology trainees deepening neuro-ophthalmic practice. It does not replace supervised clinical training or specialty mentorship. By the end you will have structured frameworks for complex neuro-ophthalmic cases.
