Applied Teen Academic Support Across High School and Into College

Applied academic support extends across the high school years and into the college transition. This applied course teaches integrated reasoning through case-based modules. By the end of this course you will be able to support academic life across high school years, navigate the college application and transition, balance academic performance with whole-life health, and adapt the approach as your teen grows. What you will learn: - Approaches to early high school including study habits and balance - Approaches to the demanding middle high school years including testing seasons - Approaches to college applications including managing pressure and disappointment - Approaches to balancing academics with sleep, exercise, social life, and mental health - Approaches to supporting teens whose interests do not align with traditional academic paths - Approaches to the transition into college or other post-high-school paths - Approaches to long-term family relationships around achievement The course is structured around six applied modules. Each produces a written artifact: a high school years plan, a testing seasons framework, a college applications plan, a balance reflection, a non-traditional paths plan, and a long-arc reflection. This course is written for parents thinking across high school and beyond. By the end you will have moved from year-by-year reactivity to a sustained approach that supports both achievement and well-being.
