Me apunté a este curso para reforzar mi SQL antes de buscar trabajo en análisis de datos, y cumplió bastante bien con lo prometido. Las lecciones avanzan de lo básico, como SELECT y WHERE, hasta consultas más complejas con JOIN, subconsultas y funciones de ventana, todo usando ejemplos de negocio que se sienten reales. Me gustó especialmente que cada módulo termina con una consulta que podés agregar directamente a un portafolio. Lo único que le faltó fue un poco más de profundidad en la parte de optimización de consultas, que se sintió algo apresurada. Aun así, terminé con mucha más confianza para trabajar con bases de datos reales.

Awalnya saya cuma tahu SELECT sederhana, tapi kursus ini bikin saya bisa nulis query yang jauh lebih kompleks buat analisis bisnis. Studi kasusnya soal penjualan dan retensi pelanggan bikin materinya kerasa relevan banget, bukan cuma teori doang. Bagian yang paling saya suka itu window function, dijelaskan pelan-pelan sampai ngerti pola perhitungannya. Sayangnya bagian indexing dan performa query cuma dibahas sekilas, padahal itu topik yang menurut saya penting juga. Tapi overall saya keluar dari kursus ini dengan beberapa query yang siap dimasukin ke portofolio.

I went into this course knowing basic SELECT statements and came out comfortable writing multi-table joins and window functions for real business questions. The instructor builds everything around a single company scenario, so by the middle of the course you're not just learning syntax, you're actually answering questions like which products drive repeat purchases. The pacing is steady without dragging, and each section ends with a query you can genuinely show off. My only gripe is that the section on CTEs moves a little fast if you've never used them before, so I had to rewatch it twice. Overall it left me with a portfolio of queries I'm actually proud of.
Saya ambil kursus ini karena mau pindah karier ke data analyst, dan ternyata materinya pas banget buat pemula yang udah paham dasar SELECT. Studi kasusnya pakai data bisnis yang realistis, jadi setiap query yang saya tulis terasa relevan, bukan cuma latihan abstrak. Bagian JOIN dan subquery dijelaskan pelan-pelan dengan contoh yang jelas, dan di akhir saya punya beberapa query yang layak dipajang di portofolio. Yang agak kurang cuma bagian optimasi query, rasanya terlalu singkat dibanding materi lain. Tapi secara keseluruhan saya jadi jauh lebih percaya diri pakai SQL untuk analisis.
Kursus ini bagus banget buat belajar SQL dari nol sampai bisa bikin query untuk analisis bisnis beneran. Latihan window function-nya lumayan menantang tapi ngebantu banget buat portofolio. Cuma penjelasan soal indexing agak cepat jadi saya harus ulang beberapa kali.
