I've tried a couple of cybersecurity intro courses before and always felt like they stayed too surface level, but this one actually got me building something. The written labs force you to think through each step of a penetration test rather than just following a script, and that made a real difference in how much stuck. By the end I had put together a small portfolio of findings and writeups that I could genuinely show someone, which is not something I expected from a foundations-level course. The explanations behind tool choices were especially useful, since it's easy to just copy commands without understanding why you're running them. This is the first security course where I felt like I understood the reasoning and not just the checklist.

Dieser Kurs hat mich wirklich überrascht, weil er nicht bei der Theorie stehen bleibt, sondern von Anfang an mit schriftlichen Labs arbeitet, die man selbst durchspielt. Man lernt nicht nur einzelne Tools kennen, sondern versteht auch, warum ein Penetration Tester in einer bestimmten Reihenfolge vorgeht. Besonders gut fand ich, dass am Ende ein kleines Portfolio entsteht, das man tatsächlich vorzeigen kann. Die Erklärungen sind klar strukturiert und auch für jemanden ohne tiefe Vorkenntnisse gut nachvollziehbar. Für den Einstieg in die Cybersicherheit kann ich mir kaum einen praxisnäheren Kurs vorstellen.
