Начинал курс почти без понимания, что такое масштабируемая архитектура, и в итоге смог спокойно объяснить, как спроектировать простой сервис вроде укорачивателя ссылок. Особенно понравилось, как разбирается балансировка нагрузки и кэширование — на пальцах, без лишнего усложнения. Раздел про шардирование базы данных тоже сделан толково, с реальными компромиссами. Единственное — примеров с очередями сообщений маловато, хотелось бы больше практики именно там. В целом курс дал структуру, с которой я уже иду на собеседования увереннее.

Der Kurs erklärt Lastverteilung und Caching wirklich verständlich, auch wenn ich mir am Ende noch ein größeres Praxisbeispiel gewünscht hätte.

Les explications sur le sharding de base de données sont particulièrement bien faites. Je me sens beaucoup plus confiant pour mes prochains entretiens techniques.

Le cours couvre bien les fondamentaux comme les load balancers et les files de messages, avec un rythme adapté aux débutants. J'aurais aimé plus d'exercices pratiques sur le sharding, mais dans l'ensemble c'est une bonne préparation aux entretiens.

Mi sono presentato al mio primo colloquio di system design molto più sicuro grazie a questo corso. I concetti di scalabilità, load balancing e caching sono spiegati in modo chiaro e con esempi concreti. Ho trovato utilissima la parte sui database, quando scegliere SQL o NoSQL e come gestire lo sharding. Anche le spiegazioni sulle code di messaggi e sull'architettura a microservizi mi hanno aiutato a ragionare meglio. Affrontare i problemi passo dopo passo mi ha dato un metodo che prima non avevo. Lo consiglio a chiunque debba prepararsi a un'intervista tecnica.

I went into this course knowing almost nothing about system design and came out able to talk through a basic URL shortener or chat app design without freezing up. The instructor breaks down load balancing, caching layers, and database sharding in a way that actually clicks, using simple diagrams instead of jargon. The pacing felt right for someone new to the topic, not rushed but not painfully slow either. My only gripe is that the later sections on message queues feel a bit rushed compared to the earlier material. Still, it gave me enough of a framework that I walked into my last interview with a plan instead of panic.
