El curso explica muy bien cómo distribuir el texto y las ilustraciones en cada doble página para que la lectura fluya de forma natural. Me gustó especialmente la parte sobre el ritmo visual entre página y página. Lo único es que se queda un poco corto en ejemplos de estilos más modernos.

This course completely changed how I think about picture-book spreads. Instead of just drawing pretty scenes, I now plan out the visual flow before I even sketch, thinking about where the reader's eye lands first and how it travels across the gutter. The lessons on negative space and pacing between pages were genuinely eye-opening, and the practice assignments forced me to actually apply each concept rather than just watch. By the third module I could already see my thumbnails getting stronger and more intentional. If you're stuck making pages that feel static, this fixes that problem directly.

絵本のスプレッドをどう構成するか、最初は全然イメージが湧きませんでしたが、このコースを受けてページの余白や視線誘導の考え方が少しずつわかってきました。特にキャラクターの配置とテキストスペースのバランスについての説明がとても実践的で、実際にラフを何度も描き直しながら学べたのが良かったです。進め方も無理がなく、自分のペースで消化できました。ただ、後半の見開き演習がもう少し増えてもよかったかなと思います。全体としては絵本制作の基礎をしっかり固められる内容でした。
I went in without much background in picture books and came out understanding why spreads work the way they do. The lessons on pacing across a double-page layout were the most useful part for me, especially seeing how a character's gaze can pull the reader's eye toward the gutter. The instructor breaks down thumbnail sketching in a way that finally made composition click. My only gripe is that the section on typography placement felt a bit rushed compared to everything else. Still, I've already started reworking an old manuscript with these layout principles in mind.
