It follows a proper sequence rather than jumping around, so my children never felt lost. My four year old went from knowing letters to blending her first words in a few weeks.
Clear, logical order that made teaching my daughter so much less stressful.
What I love is that nothing is left to guesswork. Each lesson builds on the last, so I always know what to teach next and my son can feel himself getting better.
The step by step progression is really clear and my daughter is finally decoding simple sentences. I do think it moves a touch fast between some of the stages, so we ended up repeating a couple of them, but that's a minor thing.
Great foundation for early reading, just wish it included a few more practice word lists.
I started using this with my five year old who was really struggling and losing confidence with reading. The systematic breakdown of sounds and how to blend them gave me a proper plan instead of me just winging it every evening. Within a month he went from guessing words to actually decoding them, and his frustration has dropped massively. The only thing I'd mention is that it assumes you'll create a fair bit of your own practice material, so be ready to put a little prep in yourself. Beyond that it's been exactly what we needed.

I'm an early years assistant and picked this up to sharpen how I support the children I work with.
