The read-aloud techniques changed how I share stories, and my daughter now begs for one more chapter.

Really clear and easy to follow at your own pace. The idea of following your child's curiosity rather than a set list made reading feel like fun instead of homework.
I was skeptical that anything could pull my kids away from tablets, but the storytelling exercises genuinely got them excited about books again. We started a little family reading corner and it's become the best part of our evenings.

Lots of practical ideas, though most of them suit the younger ages better than my eleven year old.
What I liked most is that it treats reading as something you build slowly, not force. The routines are small enough to actually keep up with, and my youngest went from avoiding books to picking them himself.
I have two very different kids, one who devours books and one who would rather do anything else, and I honestly wasn't sure a single course could help with both. It really did. The strategies are flexible enough to adapt to each child, and I loved how much emphasis there is on imagination and storytelling rather than just sounding out words. We've built a screen-free wind-down hour that both of them look forward to now. It's the calmest our evenings have been in ages.
The heart of this course is helping kids fall in love with stories, and it delivers on that beautifully. This is a thoughtful, well-organised guide that gave me a lot to work with as a parent of a seven year old who'd lost interest in reading. The parts about creating the right environment and modelling reading yourself were especially good, and I've already seen him picking up books on his own. My one wish is that there were more material aimed at the older end of the four-to-twelve range, since a lot of the examples lean young. Even so, the underlying approach adapts fine and I'd say it was time well spent.
The section on choosing books that match a child's interests was really eye-opening and helped me stop forcing 'good' books on him. That said, a fair bit of the advice repeats itself across the later modules. Still glad I took it.
The tips on making reading part of the bedtime routine finally clicked for us, even if the first module felt a bit slow to get going.
